Hi There!

I'm Manasa Pisipati, from Hyderabad, Telangana, India. My academic path led me across borders, as I completed my schooling in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, earned a Dual Degree (Bachelor of Technology and Master of Technology in Computer Science Engineering (Specialization: Information Security)) from the prestigious National Institute of Technology Rourkela in India and recently graduated with an MS in Cybersecurity Analytics and Operations from the Penn State University in University Park (WE ARE!)

I have a keen interest in understanding how to build systems that ensure personalisation without the breach of privacy and also in designing secure systems that maximize usability with smooth user-experience. My research and publication expertise predominantly encompass Machine Learning, Computer Vision, and Information Security. I also have some industry experience as a data analyst and threat intelligence analyst - I consider my interdisciplinary knowledge as my greatest strength.

With a foundation in programming languages including C, C++, Java, MATLAB, Python, and SQL, I bring a versatile skill set to the field of cybersecurity and software development. I am proficient in utilizing visualization tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, QlikView, and Qlik Sense. I also have a familiarity with some Threat Intelligence Tools such as Recorded Future Threat and Splunk. TMy academic background has equipped me with a thorough understanding of key cybersecurity concepts such as the Cyber Kill Chain, MITRE ATT&CK, STRIDE, and VAST. My technical expertise is further strengthened by my proficiency in both Windows and Linux operating systems.

Beyond technical skills, I possess strong interpersonal qualities such as communication, creativity, critical thinking, and adaptability. My leadership roles in my undergrad as well as grad school including being the President of the Women in Cybersecurity chapter at Penn State (Learn More about WiCyS at Penn State HERE!) underscore my commitment to leadership and collaboration. During my internship at Cowbell Cyber, I was also made responsible of cyber training and awareness among employees and brokers for the Cyber Awareness Month of October 2023 – This helped me practice my presentation and leadership skills. I am known for my ambition, quick learning ability, problem-solving skills, effective team management, cultural awareness, and a motivated attitude, making me a valuable asset to any team.
